Overview

Maura has competed in London in the World Championships and in four International Championships, winning Gold and Silver.

She has a 1st degree black belt and a QQI level 5 fitness and gym instructor qualification.

Maura began her training 6 years ago and continues to train in Taekwondo and Muai Thai kick boxing.

Taekwondo is a Korean self-defence system and martial art. However, it is so much more than that. Ask any of our students training and they will tell you that it builds self-confidence, develops excellent all round fitness, improves co-ordination significantly and increases flexibility.

From the training involved, mental discipline, motivation, determination and patience is developed. It instils in the student a desire to be a better person, and to respect and help other people.

Training will begin on Tuesday 12th September in the Kenmare GAA Hall, 4.15 pm and 5.15pm

Maura is also offering a new class in Kilgarvan Community Centre on Tuesdays at 3pm.
