Healy Pass Circuit
This tough 86km circuit brings you around the Beara peninsula, over the serpentine Healy Pass and some of the most spectacular scenery you are likely to see.
Leave Kenmare by crossing the suspension bridge and turning right on the R571 towards Castletownbere.
At Tuosist - bear right on the R573 towards Kilmackillogue.
Kilmackillogue is a great place to take a short break. Visit Teddy O Sullivan’s athmospheric pub
At Lauragh cross the R571 and head onwards towards the high ground of the Healy Pass.
The Healy Pass is a sinuous mountain road with beautiful views over Bantry Bay and the Kenmare river.
Descend to the sea at Adrigole and turn left in the direction of Glengariff.
In Glengariff turn left on the N71 towards Kenmare.
Climb upwards through the Caha pass. Freewheel to Bonane and carry on to Kenmare.
