Socio-economic plan for Kenmare

Keep up to date with the local news in Kenmare

Posted on: 10 Apr 2019

South Kerry Development Partnership CLG and Kerry County Council have contracted Ian Dempsey, Prescience, to develop a socio-economic plan for Kenmare. This plan will be linked to relevant national, regional and local plans and strategies and the process will develop a vision and action plan for the social, economic and environmental development of Kenmare. The plan will seek to build on the town’s undoubted strengths while seeking to mitigate its weaknesses, ensuring that active citizenship, social inclusion and social equity is maintained; that economic development opportunities are optimised and that the attractiveness and quality of the public realm and the built and natural environment is enhanced.
To lay some of the groundwork for the preparation of the plan – Ian Dempsey has prepared a questionnaire (link below) on Survey Monkey for completion and circulation.
Please note that all replies received are anonymised and confidential and will only be used for the purposes of this survey. Thank you for your support.

An initial meeting was held in Kenmare on April 11th and more will be organised.
