Holbein Carpentry & Joinery - Office Administrator

Holbein Carpentry & Joinery is a family-run business, who produce top quality bespoke products. This is a superb opportunity for a motivated candidate to join a dynamic workforce, which is at the forefront of quality joinery. We are looking for an enthusiastic Office Administrator who is looking for a job and company where there is a lot scope to grow.
Location - Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
About You
You are an experienced office administrator or manager who has a passion for working with people to get the right things done well. You enjoy working alongside co-workers, clients, customers (current/former and potential), suppliers and people in general. You thrive on running a great office working with great people. Full training will be provided.
About the Job
You will work with the management team and co- workers to provide admin support. This encompasses the daily office and reception tasks but no two days are the same as we would also like a motivated person to carry out the following:

  • Product research – what’ s happening generally in our sector

  • Product purchasing and general stock control

  • Generation of quotations and communication with customers in a friendly and informative way

  • Be the first face that our customers see and represent HCJ in a professional manner

  • Maintain and expand company ERP system

  • Other general administrative tasks as required, such as:

  • Ensuring compliance to industry regulation standards and health & safety legislation

  • Create and develop SOPs for office and manufacturing operation

Must have

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role

  • High-level of computer efficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills, phone manner, and fluency in English

  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly, particularly in relation to numerical data

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to switch between tasks depending on priority

  • Strong time management skills with ability to work on own initiative

Nice to have– these are a plus but we still want to speak with you if you don’t tick all ofthe boxes

  • Interest in our sector and/or experience in a manufacturing environment would be nice

  • Familiarity with software packages such as Photoshop (training will be provided)

  • Previous experience in compiling quotes and ordering stock

  • Can look at a process and see how we can improve (we want to hear your ideas!!)
