Overview

Top of Coom is officially 'Ireland's Highest Pub' at 1046ft above sea level. The Creedon family have owned and run the pub for five generations. The pub is situated on the Kerry-Cork border just off the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way.

The pub is the hub of the local community and offers a warm welcome to all who come through the door. It overlooks the Múscarí Ghaeltacht to the east and the Glanlee Valley to the west. Being so close to the Ghaeltacht, a visitor to this pub may hear the Irish language being spoken by some locals. The pub is famed for it's traditional Irish music sessions and it's Annual Sheep Shearing Competition. The pub is in an area of great natural beauty and it is surrounded by some stunning views. It is a welcome stop to the cyclists and walkers who use the many routes and walking trails in the locality.

Bar food is served daily

The pub is only a short trip of 25 mins from Kenmare, Killarney, Macroom and Gougane Barra.
