  • Film Screening "Embrace"Taryn Brumfitt

“EMBRACE is a social impact documentary, which explores the issue of body image. The inspiration for EMBRACE came about after I posted an unconventional before-and-after image on the internet in 2013 that sparked a media frenzy. The image, which embraces body diversity, was seen by over 100 million people worldwide and led to hundreds of interviews and articles. But I soon realized how restrictive 4-minute TV interviews, 800 word articles and 140 characters on Twitter can be. This issue needed a louder voice on a bigger platform, so the idea of creating the documentary EMBRACE was born.” "A compelling, inspiring viewing experience that is in no short supply of joy and triumph" - EMPIRE MAGAZINE “A powerful, and important film. Beautifully executed and just so so imperative for girls and women everywhere.” - RICKI LAKE Tickets €8/Students €6

  • Drama-"Crowman"Performed by Jon Kenny

A dark comedy starring Jon Kenny (D’Unbelievables), written and directed by Katie Holly (Marion, Sharon), about one man’s loneliness –and his pathological hatred of crows. Set in a sparsely decorated kitchen, this intimate one-man show starring Jon Kenny ( D'Unbelievables) feels like a window into the soul of a lonely bachelor, Dan. A crow-hating man who noisily tries to shoo the blighted birds away, Dan measures out his life by the amount of funerals he has to attend every week. They are social occasions with the added bonus of refreshments. Dan, who vacillates between high comedy by mimicking TV celebrity chefs; and pathetic admissions, including attending Mass just to connect with another human by shaking hands, is a master at distraction, But one day, hearing a death announcement on the radio. his world is shattered. Kenny is brilliant in the role , conveying the gamut of emotions. Katie Holly's script is strong, conjuring up a life of quiet desperation. Tickets €20
