    This is the headline A fast-living, cynical London music executive (Danny Mays) heads to a remote Cornish village on a stag weekend where he’s pranked by his boss (Noel Clarke) into trying to sign a group of shanty singing fishermen (led by James Purefoy).     Kenmare Halloween Howl is a week long community festival which runs over the midterm break in October. It is a family event with something for everyone, meet Bessie the witch, visit the haunted house and the even more haunted forest! Carve a pumpkin or take part in some Halloween splatball fun. Take part in our famous Halloween parade on the 31st of October and enjoy some traditional games in the park afterwards. The Halloween Howl is a great event for all the family.

    The White Crow -The Incredible True Story of Rudolf Nureyev The third directorial endeavour from actor/director Ralph Fiennes explores the incredible life of Rudolf Nureyev, the most celebrated ballet dancer of the 20th century. The film centres on the events that took place during a trip to Paris in 1961 at the height of the Cold War where the Kirov Opera Ballet were performing, which culminated in Nureyev’s defection to the West. Moving from this pivotal event back to his impoverished childhood and through to his training under ballet master Pushkin (Fiennes), the film examines Nureyev’s rebellious determination and infamous single-mindedness to overcome all obstacles.     A three-hour workshop on the writing of haibun and prose poetry. The workshop will cover the writing of complete narratives in the shortest space and in the shortest time. John W.   • PJ Murrihy & Seamus Shannon

    P.J. Murrihy is an Irish singer- song writer from Mullagh, Co. Clare. He came to national prominence in the late 1980’s with a song called Pat Murphy's Meadow which remained in the top 30 Irish Charts for eight weeks. Other memorable songs recorded by P.J. include; My Father's House, The Old Trashing Mill, 'Should I Fall Behind' (duet with Isla Grant) and The Land of the Gael. One of P.J’s most successful recordings is his own composition, ‘There's Life in the Auld Dog Yet'. He is joined on this recording by Brendan Shine, Conal Gallen, Johnny Carroll, Seamus Moore, Seamus Shannon and Donncha O Duailing of RTÉ. In May 2013 P.J. was honoured to sing his own composition, ‘The West Clare Famine’ song for President Higgins at the National Famine Commemorations. P.J. has been a firm favourite on cruise ship holidays and Irish festivals in Europe and the UK, as well as continuing to draw in the crowds at all popular dancing venues at home in Ireland. In March, 2014, P.J. was awarded 'Best Original Song' for 'Drawing Little Men in the Ashes’ by Irish County Sound of the Irish Farmer's Journal. The success of this song was followed by another original song written by P.J. called 'Soldier On' (Sell the pig). To date songs written by P.J. have been recorded by a number of prominent artists including, Big Tom, Daniel O' Donnell, Foster and Allen, Michael English, Brendan Shine, Margo, Declan Nearney and Patrick Feeney. P.J.'s latest album, 'Childhood Memories' is a collection of songs both old and new which is quickly proving a firm favourite with audiences nationwide. This concert features the dynamic pairing of P.J. with renowned accordion player, Seamus Shannon from County Roscommon. Tickets €15
