    Visual Arts May 2017 Exhibition - 'Divergent Perspectives' by Saffron Marriott and Daniel Forrest Smith Admission Free - All Welcome Both are experienced artists in their own field, Saffron's paintings are inspired by the artistic scene around Cornwall where she spent much of her childhood, while Daniel works mainly with Acrylics, he also occasionally makes some sculptures from twisted wire, cloth and clock pieces which sometimes serve as references for his paintings The artist currently lives and studies in Cork for a BA Honours degree in Fine Art at the Crawford College of Art and Design. While Saffron studied at the Dun Laoire College of Art and Design where she learned draughtsmanship and design. Exhibition runs for May during Theatre opening hours

  • Wild Atlantic Challenge

    The longest all boat multi route rowing event on the Wild Atlantic Way is coming to Kenmare WAC Kenmare, the Wild Atlantic Challenge are currently about to launch this great rowing event which is happening on Saturday the 13th of May 2017. All types of rowing boats or boards from paddle boards and canoes to sculls and 14 person dragon boats are invited to take part and will have 5 different routes to choose from. All Rowing clubs all over Ireland, England Wales and Scotland as well as clubs in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium & The Netherlands, will be invited to take part this rowing challenge which will have a choice of distances, 5,10,20 & 30 Kms routes inside the Kenmare Bay.

Grace who has strong family connections with Kenmare is a singer with a rich background in performance. Grace is joined by three wonderful musicians; Niamh O Raw on violin, Jayme Linehan on piano and Conor Linehan on guitar. 'An Irish Heart' allows the audience to experience the 'real Ireland'. This show stands out from the others as it fuses different genres, styles and disciplines to take the audience on a truly unique journey.
